September 6, 2018 – Ficodis Group, which distributes tool, safety, cutting and power product lines through 13 points of sale in Quebec and Ontario, is acquring Transbearco, which sells power transmission and motion control products in Montreal’s Saint-Laurent borough and Mississauga, Ont.

Montreal-based Ficodis was founded in 2010 and has expanded by entering partnerships with major industrial supply distributors. Transbearco is its 12^th acquisition.

“This gives us a foothold to bolster our offerings in Montreal and the Greater Toronto Area (GTA),” says Christophe Bévillard, president of Ficodis. “We are moving closer to major urban centres to develop high-potential markets.”
